Yes. However, once you create an account, you may build an application and submit that application for multiple jobs by clicking on the ‘Populate’ button to automatically populate the new application with information from your previously created application. Review and update your application as necessary. Once your account is created, applying for open recruitments is quick and easy.
To check on the status of a particular recent recruitment you may also login at www.governmentjobs.com and then click on Application Status to see the status of your submitted applications. You may also contact the Human Resources Department at 707-449-5101.
- No. Each time we list a job opportunity and you are still interested in being considered you should apply. To ensure you will be considered for other positions, watch our Job Opportunities site or fill in a Job Notification Request. You must submit a separate application for all positions you are interested in.
Submitted applications cannot be edited. If the recruitment is still open and you would like to turn in supplemental items or have a change in contact information, please contact Human Resources at (707) 449-5101 during business hours of 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday for guidance. Please note that we are open every other Friday.
- No. As with any position, once a closing date has passed, no application will be accepted or considered. Please continue to visit the City website and apply for new jobs as they become available. You may also want to complete a Job Notification Request to automatically be notified when a position you are interested in becomes available.
If you submitted electronically, you will receive an email confirmation shortly after submission. To verify the positions you’ve submitted applications for, login to: www.governmentjobs.com using your user ID and password. Then click on Application Status to view the status of your submitted applications.
All application materials (including resumes and supplemental documentation) must be received by the posted close time and date. Late application materials will not be considered. The Human Resources Department is not responsible for failure of other agencies, internet service providers or postal services to forward applications by the deadline.

If at any time you need to exit out of the application form, click the Save button at the bottom of the form. All of the information that you have inputted up to that point will be stored. You can return to your application later by logging into your account with your Username and Password.
On average, allow approximately 30-45 minutes to complete your application.
We encourage you to complete each part of the application in detail. You can add additional work history and education as needed. To set up your own personal “user account” to apply online go to: www.governmentjobs.com. Then click on Create an Account Here. [c3] Fill in the form and then click the Save button to set up your own personal account. Your account in now active and you can create an application.
Another way to set up an account is through the APPLY button on all open job announcements. From there, you can log-in to an existing account, create a new account (if you don’t have one already) and view additional online employment application tips.

- No, City Aide Program assignments are limited and submission of an online interest card or verification of eligibility does not guarantee placement in an assignment.
- Yes. Reasonable accommodations such as a job coach and job modifications will be used to ensure this is a successful work experience for the program participant and the City of Vacaville. Accommodations can be requested at any time during the assignment.
- City Aide Program assignments are for a maximum of 1040 hours. Work schedules will vary based on the participant's availability and the department's business needs.'

To qualify for consideration for an assignment in the City Aide Program, an individual:
- Must actively be receiving services from North Bay Regional Center (NBRC).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must demonstrate a willingness to work in the community and learn new work skills.
- Must meet the qualifications and requirements of the assignment.
- Must pass, at a minimum, a California DOJ/FBI live scan and physical, as required.
- Solano Diversified Services (SDS) will process the online interest cards and complete the initial intake and screening of interested individuals for all City Aide Program assignments. SDS will contact you directly after receipt of your online interest card. Please allow 14 days after submission to be contacted by SDS.'
