Choosing a Path is the City of Vacaville’s public information effort to share facts about the City’s financial outlook, the services the City provides, and options that may be considered to address long-term budget challenges. City Council will consider whether to place a local one-cent sales tax measure on the November 2026 ballot. No decision has been made.

A new measure would let Vacaville protect its Essential Services like Fire, Police, and 911 Emergency Response, with a reliable, locally controlled revenue source untouchable by the State. If proposed, the measure would include a transparent Citizen Oversight Committee and annual audits to ensure accountability to Vacaville's voters.

This microsite provides: budget and forecast information, Measure M background, frequently asked questions, City Council materials, and ways to participate in community outreach—including community questionnaires and meetings.
