Choosing a Path is about transparency.  Together, we face the realities of a structural budget deficit, and Vacaville voters may have a decision on the 2026 November ballot on what comes next for our community.

One path maintains current funding levels but risks future service reductions if costs continue to outpace revenues. The other path would provide a locally controlled one-cent sales tax measure that could provide funding to help protect essential services, maintain public safety staffing, support emergency preparedness, and sustain the core services residents have become accustomed to.

The question before the community is forward-looking: how to preserve the current level of service reliability in the years ahead.

Vacaville residents understand their city best. Community feedback consistently shows residents value safety, infrastructure, and responsible financial management. The upcoming conversation asks you, our community, to weigh the options and decide which path best aligns with your household values and needs.
